| CARLOS AYALA (Victor Velasco) is appearing for the second time at Artisan, where he recently played Jose in THE MAN WITH THE POINTED TOES. He has directed plays in Bedford, Euless, Southlake and Grapevine. In his native Mexico, he participated in nearly 50 theater productions, including the premiers in Spanish of PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, CATS, and LES MISERABLES. | SHANE BEESON (Paul Bratter) is pleased to be making his Artisan debut. Dallas theater credits include Dan Woodruff in TALK RADIO (Upstart Productions), Man in UNDER A TEXACO CANOPY (One Thirty Productions at the Festival of Independent Theatres), Lenny in RUMORS (Pocket Sandwich), The Policeman in LEGENDS (Uptown Players), Craig in THE NORMAL HEART (Uptown Players, Column Nomination, Best Featured Actor in a Play), David in PERIMETERS (Labyrinth Theatre and The Algonquin Theatre, Off-Broadway, NYC), Maurice Oakley in SHADOWLANDS (Contemporary Theatre of Dallas), Nick in OVER THE RIVER AND THROUGH THE WOODS (Pocket Sandwich), Clifford in DEATHTRAP (Labyrinth Theatre), Hal in PROOF (GLCT) and Ross in SHAKESPEARE FOR THE MODERN MAN: LESSON ONE, MACBETH (ICT Mainstage). | HUDSON CHAMBERS (Telephone Repair Man) is making his Artisan debut. He is from NYC, where he lived and worked until 2007. He left to finish his degree at Regent University, in Virginia Beach. Professional credits include “All My Children”, “Spin City”, “Dear J”, and ADR for the film, “The Bill Collector”. While there, he was cast by Mark Paladini in Chekhov’s THE CHERRY ORCHARD and THE BOYS NEXT DOOR by Tom Griffin. Hudson is a member of the Screen Actors Guild, and is currently working on the television series, 'Code 58' for the FOX TV network. | | | |
| RACHEL DEE (Corie Bratter) has performed in roles such as Claire and Cassie in RUMORS, Sarah in GOD'S FAVORITE, and Corie in BAREFOOT IN THE PARK. She has also been a part of CHILDREN'S HOUR, LUCKY STIFF, FIDDLER ON THE ROOF, and THE MUSIC MAN. Rachel received a Critics Choice Award for her performance in THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE and performed at the Florida State Thespian Competition’s opening ceremonies. She has always had a passion for acting and especially for Neil Simon’s plays. Rachel is so excited to be performing at Artisan Center Theater. God has blessed her so much more than she deserves. | SUSAN HAYNES (Ethel Banks) is excited to be appearing for the first time on the Artisan stage. A veteran performer, Susan was a founding member of The Greater Cleburne Carnegie Players in Cleburne, Texas. Susan has performed at several area theaters. Her most recent roles include the part of Charlotte in MOON OVER BUFFALO and Kate in SYLVIA. Her stage credits also include Clairee in STEEL MAGNOLIAS, Vera in THE FEMALE ODD COUPLE, and Miss Daisy in DRIVING MISS DAISY. Susan thanks her husband, Bob, for his unwavering support of her craft, and for never complaining about all the dinners he's had alone while she rehearsed and performed. | | | |
| ABIGAIL HERRING (Corie Bratter) is delighted to be in her first show at Artisan! Besides saving endangered animals and writing Pulitzer prize winning novels, Abigail currently attends TCC as a theater major. Recently, she was in such TCC productions as THE DIARY OF ANNE FRANK (Edith), DEATHTRAP (Myra), and MISS FIRECRACKER CONTEST (Elaine). She enjoys making YouTube movies, being involved with her church, talking your ear off, writing, and spending time with the amazing people in her life. Abigail would like to thank Danielle Beacham for not only being a beacon of awesomeness but providing a great opportunity. | DAN JOHNSTON (Delivery Man) is pleased to be participating in such a fine production. Seen last year at Artisan as Mr.Wright in THE MAN WITH THE POINTED TOES, WALKING ACROSS EGYPT, BELLES ON THEIR TOES (2008), THE FOREIGNER (2008) and NO TIME FOR SERGEANTS (2007). He also appeared in the world premier of IN DEFENSE OF BETTER DAYS at the ICT, Theater on the Edge. | BARBARA RICHARDSON (Ethel Banks) recently retired from her day job and is returning to the theater, after a lengthy hiatus, in order to perform the role of Mrs. Banks. She has played many memorable characters in local area playhouses. Among her favorite roles are Doasty Mae in THE BEST LITTLE ... HOUSE IN TEXAS, Clairee in STEEL MAGNOLIAS, and Karen Nash in PLAZA SUITE. She would like to thank the cast and crew of BAREFOOT IN THE PARK for making her first foray back onstage a most pleasant and successful one. | | | |
| JOSHUA SMITH (Paul Bratter) is jubilant to be performing for the first with Artisan. Josh is a licensed massage therapist and has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatrical Design from UTA. He works part time at massage and has been working freelance in positions ranging from carpenter to designer to technical directing since he finished his summer gig at Ohio Light Opera as shop foreman. Some of his show credits include A FLEA IN HER EAR as Don Homenides de Histangua and lead carpenter for the build THE SOMEWHAT TRUE TALE OF ROBIN HOOD and played the role of Little John, THE TEMPEST as Alonso the King of Naples (was also lead carpenter), and as the Golem in THE GOLEM. Josh would like to thank his friends and family for their unwavering support in all he does, without which he would not be where he is today. | | | |
| BOB WILEY (Telephone Repair Man) is excited to be making his second appearance at Artisan. You may remember him most recently as The Professor in THE LION, THE WITCH, AND THE WARDROBE. He has appeared in over 25 productions, some of which include THE GOOD DOCTOR, BYE-BYE BIRDIE, FIDDLER ON THE ROOF, THE PROMISE, CHRISTMAS POST, MAYHEM IN MAYPEARL, CHRISTMAS IS CALLING, EVERY LITTLE CROOK AND NANNY, and WIND IN THE MAGNOLIAS. Bob recently signed with an agent in Nashville to begin doing commercial modeling, TV commercials, and film. He and his wife, Ginny are both involved using their theatrical talents for the glory of God. | | | |
| DANIELLE BEACHAM (Director) is making her directing début here at Artisan Center Theater. She recently stepped into the directing field; her credits include CASH ON DELIVERY, and assistant director for THE SOUND OF MUSIC, both with her dear friends at Plaza Theatre. Though Danielle is new to directing, she is not new to the stage and has been performing for the last eight years. Danielle is continually awed by the grace of her Savior Jesus Christ, to Him be the glory. | CASSONDRA PLYBON (Stage Manager) is happy to be working on her eighth production at Artisan. She appeared in CINDERELLA; worked crew for THE MUSIC MAN and PETER PAN; stage managed HARVEY, THE MAN WITH THE POINTED TOES and THE MIKADO; and was Assistant Stage Manager for MY FAIR LADY. In addition to her work at Artisan, Cassondra is also active in productions at L.D. Bell High School, where she is a Senior. Cassondra would like to thank her family for all of the support.
